Find your electric rate

You can determine your electric rate (cost per kilowatt-hour) from your monthly electric bill by adding the energy charge ($, €, £, etc) to any applicable taxes and dividing the total by the kilowatt-hour usage for the month. Fixed charges should NOT be added (you will pay those regardless of energy usage).

The computation is as follows:

52.27 + 3.51 = 55.78

55.78 ÷ 516 = 0.108 per kWh (10.8 cents per kWh)
